Dominant Sabalenka Wins Back-to-Back WTA Player of the Year Honors.

The tennis star celebrating a point
Aryna Sabalenka ended the tour with an notable twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second successive year.

The twenty-seven-year-old secured four tournament victories – the most on tour – including successfully defending the US Open in September versus Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth Grand Slam singles triumph.

A Year of High Performance

Throughout the year, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine finals, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The star player also claimed victory at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open in May. She spent the whole season as the world number one, concluding 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she became the first athlete to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Statistics

Sabalenka concluded the competitive year with a 63-12 win-loss record, and collected a record £11m in tournament winnings.

She earned nearly 80% of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "raise women's tennis to a higher level".
