The former president's Family Member Gets Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut

The young golfer will have multiple prominent supporters when she starts her professional golf debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses several international courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she stated.

Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"He basically advised me to compete and relax," she added.

"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, making him rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions recently and holds the 461st position in AJGA listings.

Yet she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.

"He is the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.

"And he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to compete, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."

Kai will face multiple most prominent players in the sport at this tournament, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Officials mentioned that involving Kai brings the sport to wider groups, especially with younger fans.

Kai has substantial online presence and has started a personal clothing and lifestyle label.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
